Normally it's only possible to connect a subdomain like blog.my-awesome-site.com to our blog. But there are ways around that.

1. Using www

Technically, www is a subdomain. So you can add this like you normally would, as described here. You just need to redirect my-awesome-site.com to www.my-awesome-site.com. The result is clean and without any drawbacks.

2. Using an A-record

Technically you can change the A-record of your domain to point to ssl.blogs.storychief.io
There's a drawback here though. You will need to enter the IP (you can use this website to look up the IP), which can change some day. At that point you will have to change the IP in you DNS settings too.
We can not guarantee the IP remains the same forever or tell you when it will change. It might never change, and it might be tomorrow. So use this method at your own risk!

You probably will still want a redirect from www.my-awesome-site.com to my-awesome-site.com
