Having options is amazing, but having too many options can be overwhelming. StoryChief now offers new types of content to collaborate on, which are webpages, newsletters, webinars, podcasts, ebooks and videos. If your content marketing focuses on some of these, you can disable the types you don't use, or rename them to match your own vocabulary.
Start adding your content types
Step 1. In the dashboard, open the top menu and go to 'Settings'.
Step 2. In the settings, click 'Content' and select 'Content types'. đ Quick link.
Step 3. Toggle the content types you will (not) use to keep a clean view in your content dropdown.
Step 4. To rename a content type, click the ⎠(three dots) next to it and choose the rename option. Update its
Icon,
Singular name (e.g. "Newsletter")
Plural name (e.g. "Newsletters")
Then save your changes. Handy if your team uses different terms, like "Press Releases" instead of "Newsletters".
đ Note: When renaming content types, it only changes the display name. So when creating content via the API or MCP connector, give your AI agent an instruction to clear the mapping.
Example:
The content type Podcast was renamed to "Press release".
Instruction: "When you want to create a Press release item, use create_podcast"
