A workspace is a separate environment for a brand, company, region, or client, with its own content, brand voice, channels, and team members. One workspace is enough for most single-brand teams. Agencies managing multiple clients can choose a higher tier with more workspaces.

You can choose a higher license tier through AppSumo while the offer and upgrade options remain available. After the campaign, any available upgrades or additional capacity will follow StoryChief's then-current options and pricing.

Yes. Your purchase provides lifetime access to the StoryChief features and limits included in your selected tier, subject to the deal terms. Updates to those included features are covered. Future premium features, new AI capabilities, and usage-based services may be offered separately.

Each workspace receives a recurring monthly allowance of AI credits for text generation and AI agent usage. Both OG AppSumo plans include 20,000 credits per month. The 2026 tiers include 8,000 / 15,000 / 20,000 / 25,000 credits respectively. Your allowance refreshes monthly. Image and video generation are not included in these recurring credits.

Yes, creating content, researching, other text generation, and AI agent usage use credits.

AI image and video generation are available through an optional in-app add-on. This is not included in the standard lifetime deal or its recurring monthly AI credits. You can purchase the add-on when you need it. Video and Image generation credits do not renew.

AI Visibility lets you track how your brand appears in AI-generated answers and compare visibility with competitors. AI Visibility is not included in the OG AppSumo plans or 2026 Tiers 1 and 2. The 2026 Tiers 3 and 4 each include 10 prompts.

StoryChief supports websites and CMS platforms such as WordPress and Webflow, plus social channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Additional integrations are available for other marketing workflows. The number of social channels you can connect depends on your tier.

Customers with an existing regular paid StoryChief subscription cannot switch or migrate that subscription to an AppSumo lifetime license. However, customers with an original 2018 AppSumo lifetime license can purchase a new AppSumo tier and activate it in their existing StoryChief account. The new tier replaces the original lifetime license; there is no need to create a new account or workspace.

Unfortunately, no. Coupons from our original 2018 AppSumo launch had an expiration date and can no longer be redeemed. StoryChief has since moved away from the coupon-based activation system, which is no longer supported.

The original AppSumo plans were launched a long time ago, and StoryChief has grown immensely since then. So the additional features for the AppSumo plans grew along.
