When creating social posts, it is quite common to use URL shorteners to reduce a long link and usually they also offer a tracking system, to better monitor metrics.

While it is not possible to create shortened URLs directly in StoryChief, you can create them externally (a popular platform for this is https://bitly.com).

Step 1. Create a social post and add your text.

Step 2. Click on the link icon and add your link.

However, if you want to use an article instead of a link for your social post, in this case we can provide you with a shortened URL. Enabling this option will also allow you to personalise the story preview on the social post to be able to change the cover image, the title and the excerpt.
