For WordPress, Drupal, Craft, Fork CMS, SiteManager, HubSpot, Shopify, Joomla! and Webflow CMS we have created plugins that enable you to connect to StoryChief in just a matter of minutes.
But there are hundreds of other CMS systems, such as Squarespace, Wix, Kentico, Umbraco, Magento, TYPO3, Pimcore, Adobe Experienced Manager, and Sitecore that do not currently have a plugin available.
However there are still two ways of publishing the content from your StoryChief account to your CMS system:
You can develop a connection yourself using our API. This requires some technical knowledge
Using the Clipboard channel:
With this channel, you are able to transfer stories to websites that are not maintained by yourself or which cannot be connected directly from StoryChief.
How to set up the Clipboard channel
Step 1. Click on Channels in your navigation bar.
Step 2. Scroll down and click on Clipboard.
Step 3. Click on Add new destination and insert the domain of the website you would like to transfer your stories to. Press save and you are ready to go!
How to transfer your stories
Step 1. Write your story and complete the Summary section.
Step 2. Proceed to the Audience tab and you will find your newly created Clipboard channel. Click on Transfer your story. As you can see we have already defined a URL where your story should be available, you can change this if necessary.
Step 3. The Clipboard page allows you to easily copy and paste your story into your CMS.
Step 4. Publish the story on your website via your CMS.
Step 5. Go back to StoryChief and publish to all other channels such as social channels, newsletters, referral marketing, etc.
If you selected more than one website, you may want to choose the Clipboard channel as your primary channel.
Click on Confirm.
The story has now been published to all of your other channels!
