Categories and tags can be used to organize the content on your blog, whether you are using our William blog or a blog from another CMS system.

  • Categories can be used to create different sections within your blog and typically a blog article will only have one category assigned.

  • Tags can be used to label a specific blog article as if they were hashtags, so typically you might assign multiple tags to one blog article The goal is that the readers can quickly access all the blog articles with a specific tag because they are interested in that topic.

If you are using an external CMS system which has been connected to StoryChief, you can import them from within your own system.

Afterwards, you can assign a category and tags to each article by following the steps in this article
