Let's create a TikTok post via StoryChief.

Start publishing to TikTok

Step 1. Go to your Social posts page.

Step 2. Either click on "Edit" on an existing post or choose "New social post". The social post editor will appear.

Step 3. Create your social post. Visit this help article to learn about the available options and features. Activate your TikTok channel.

If direct publishing is enabled, it is possible to give videos a title of 150 characters!

❌ Limitation: TikTok only supports video attachments. The video must be: Larger than 540p, less than 50MB in file size and have a duration between 3 and 60 seconds.

The next steps depend on whether direct publishing is enabled or not. Direct publishing gives you the option to fill in some fields. Manual publishing gives you the option to still edit the post before posting.

Publish your post directly

πŸ”” Note: Make sure direct publishing is enabled. If you already had your TikTok channel set up, it needs to be reconnected for direct publishing.

After creating the post itself, there are some options before publishing. You can assign a privacy level (Everyone, Friends or Only me), set the Interactions options (Stitch, Comment, Duet) and enable Promotes business. The availability of options depends on your overall TikTok privacy settings. When your account is not public, you cannot publish publicly.

Publish your post manually

Step 4. Once ready, choose to either "publish now" or "schedule".

Step 5. Right after you click on Publish or on the day of publication if you click Schedule, you'll receive a notification on your phone to confirm the video post.

Step 6. Once posted, your video will be live on TikTok!

πŸŽ‰ Great job, your video is live! Grab a coffee, a cookie and enjoy!
