Manage all your client workspaces from one overview

Add, link, and organize every workspace, adjust your workspace limit, and manage users, all from the agency workspace dashboard.

Written by Victor

Running an agency means juggling multiple client workspaces, and jumping into each one just to check who has access or how much room you have left slows you down. The agency workspace dashboard gives you a single overview of every workspace linked to your account: how many you're using, how many you can still add, and who's in each one. From here, you can add new workspaces, adjust your capacity, manage users, and unlink workspaces you no longer need, without leaving the page.

Before you get started

You'll need to have completed the following before starting:

  • You have Owner permissions on your agency's parent workspace.

  • Your account has an active agency plan with a workspace limit.

Open the agency workspace dashboard

Step 1. Click your avatar at the top right and go to 'Settings'.

Step 2. In the left menu, open 'Agency' and select 'Client workspaces'.

Understand your dashboard at a glance

At the top of the page, two panels summarize your agency's capacity:

  • Connected workspaces shows how many client workspaces are currently linked, out of your total limit, with a progress bar.

  • Workspace limit shows your current maximum and lets you request a change.

Below that, a table lists every workspace tied to your agency, including your parent workspace (marked with a Parent badge), along with each workspace's user count and avatars.

Add a client workspace

Step 1. Click 'Add workspace' in the Connected workspaces panel.

Step 2. Choose one of two tabs:

  • Create new β€” enter a workspace name and StoryChief creates a brand-new workspace linked to your agency.

  • Link existing β€” pick a standalone workspace you already own from the dropdown. Only workspaces without their own active subscription can be linked, and linking one moves it onto your agency's billing.

Step 3. Click 'Create' or 'Link' to confirm.

πŸ”” Note: If you've reached your workspace limit, both options are disabled until you increase your limit.

Change your workspace limit

Step 1. Click 'Change limit' in the Workspace limit panel.

Step 2. Use the + and - buttons to set your new limit, then click 'Confirm change'.

πŸ’‘ Tip: You can't lower your limit below the number of workspaces you currently have connected.

πŸ”” Note: Changing your limit doesn't update billing automatically. Our customer success team is notified and will follow up to adjust your subscription.

Manage users per workspace

You can add or remove users for one workspace, or several at once.

Step 1. In the workspace table, click 'Add user' on a workspace row to invite someone directly to that workspace. To invite one person to several workspaces at once, select those workspaces first, then click 'Add user' in the bulk action bar.

Step 2. To remove a user, open the actions menu on a workspace row and select 'Remove user', or select multiple workspaces and use 'Remove user' in the bulk action bar at the bottom.

❌ Limitation: A user can only be removed from workspaces they belong to, and can't be removed if they're an Owner in any selected workspace.

Unlink a workspace

Unlinking removes a workspace from your agency without deleting it, so you can link it again later.

Step 1. Open the actions menu on the workspace row and select 'Unlink workspace', or select multiple workspaces and click 'Unlink workspaces' in the bulk action bar.

Step 2. Confirm in the dialog that appears.

❌ Limitation: The parent workspace can't be unlinked.

Search and select multiple workspaces

Use the search bar above the table to quickly find a workspace by name. Select the checkbox next to any workspace, or the header checkbox to select all visible ones, to run Add user, Remove user, or Unlink workspaces on several workspaces at once.

πŸŽ‰ You're all set β€” your agency workspace dashboard is ready to use!
