Error validating access token:

Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the user changed their password or Facebook has changed the session for security reasons.

๐Ÿ“” Explanation:

This means that you recently changed your Facebook password or your session has been reset by Facebook for security reasons.

โœ… Solution:

Simply reconnect your Facebook channel.

You are blocked from acting as your Page until you complete verification for publishing on Pages:

โ€ผ Error message:

You are restricted indefinitely from the ability to act as your Page until you complete Page Authorization. Go back to your main profile to complete the authorization under Settings - Account Settings - Verifying your identity. Complete verification, otherwise your account will be restricted

๐Ÿ“” Explanation:

In an effort to increase accountability of Pages, Facebook is requiring people who manage high potential reach Pages to get authorized to publish as their Page.

โœ… Solution:

Links to facebook groups, events, profiles or private Facebook posts can't be shared.

โ€ผ Error message:

Links to Facebook posts, groups or profiles can't be shared.

๐Ÿ“” Explanation:

Facebook does not allow sharing of links to Facebook Events through the API.

โœ… Solution:

You can share the event link directly on facebook.

Another workaround is to only share the link to the event in the post content without the preview

  • Create a social post to facebook

  • Add the event link in the post content

  • A preview will be automatically created and attached to the post

  • Click the delete button to remove it

  • Now you can publish the post with a link to the event

  • You can attach a story/image/video or another valid link to the post if you want.
