Publish social posts to your Facebook page directly via StoryChief. This article walks you through the steps of connecting your Facebook page, via the Facebook or Meta settings.

Start connecting your Facebook page

Step 1. Login to storychief.io and navigate to 'Channels'.

Step 2. Select 'Facebook' in the Social Networks section and click on 'Add New Destination' button to link your Facebook page to StoryChief πŸ‘‰ Quick link.

Step 3. You will now be sent to Facebook to authorise the request by logging in to the personal Facebook account that is linked to the Facebook Page. Make sure that you sign in with the correct Facebook profile and that you are an admin for the page.

Step 4. Follow the steps on Facebook to allow StoryChief to post on your page:

Step 5. You'll be then redirected to StoryChief where you can choose which Facebook Page you would like to connect and click on Save settings.

What to do if your Facebook Page is not listed

If your Facebook Page is not listed, you can check the following to make sure it shows up:

  1. First, check that your personal Facebook profile has the admin role for that Page. Or, if your Page is part of a Facebook Business Suite account, you'll want to ensure that your permissions under that account are fully set up.

  2. It's also important to note that it is not possible to connect a Facebook Page if your profile is an admin through inheritance from a parent Page. To find out, visit your Facebook Page, and find the Page Roles section within settings. If you see yourself listed under a section labelled "Admin (inherited from parent Page)", then unfortunately you will not be able to authorize the connection between the Facebook Page and StoryChief.

  3. If you have the correct Page role and it's still not listed, it means that StoryChief does not have the required permissions from Facebook. To resolve this, please follow these reauthorization steps and then try connecting your Page again.

  4. Due to Facebook API changes it could be that you need to remove the app in Facebook and connect to StoryChief again. In Facebook Business Tools on your profile, remove StoryChief. Go back to StoryChief and connect your pages.

πŸŽ‰ You're done, grab a coffee, you deserve it!
