Step-by-step guide for linking your DataForSEO account to unlock SEO and SERP data inside StoryChief.
Connecting DataForSEO gives you access to keyword research, SERP data, and SEO metrics directly inside StoryChief, without switching tools. Once linked, StoryChief can use DataForSEO's data to support more targeted content decisions at the planning and creation stage.
🔔 Note: You'll need to have completed the following before starting:
An active DataForSEO account (see dataforseo.com to sign up)
Your DataForSEO login email and API password (found in your DataForSEO dashboard)
Admin access to your StoryChief workspace

1. Connect DataForSEO in StoryChief
Step 1. In StoryChief, navigate to Strategy and open the Plugins & Skills section in the left sidebar.
Step 2. Search for DataForSEO in the list and select it to open the connection panel.
Step 3. Click Install to reveal the credential fields.
Step 4. In a new tab, log in to your account at app.dataforseo.com.
Step 5. Navigate to API Access in the left sidebar. Copy your Login:API password shown on that page.

Step 6. Go back to StoryChief, paste your DataForSEO login:password in the fields, then click Connect.
