Release Notes June 2026

More AI power, faster content workflows and better team visibility

Written by Carmen Villanueva

New and improved features overview:

3 AI updates that fit better into your workflow

1. Better AI experience while creating content:

Until now, the full power of StoryChief's AI was mostly available when you opened a chat that led into a canvas. Now, that same experience shows up wherever AI is available in StoryChief, whether you're writing an article, creating a social post or working elsewhere in the platform.

This also means you can use your AI skills, connected plugins and advanced workflows directly within your content without leaving the page.

On top of that, every AI conversation is now stored directly within the article, social post or content item you're working on. Reopen the AI panel at any time to view previous conversations and continue where you left off, without losing context.

2.Generate and attach AI images without leaving your draft

Following the improvement above, you can now generate images directly inside the AI chat while working on an article, social post or any other content type.

Tweak the images as much as needed and once ready, you can attach them straight to the draft as a cover image or as a social post attachment; all without leaving your draft.

3.New plugins available:

We've added new plugins to StoryChief, such as Atlassian, Intercom, Ubersuggest and DataForSEO:

  • Connect Atlassian to pull Jira issues and Confluence pages directly into your content workflow.

  • Link Intercom to give William AI context from real customer conversations.

  • Add Ubersuggest or DataForSEO to ground every brief and strategy in live keyword and SERP data.

To connect, go to Strategy → Plugins & Skills, find the tool, and hit Connect. Find a step-by-step guide here.

Start new content faster with templates

You can now save any content as templates and reuse your best formats without rebuilding them every time.

This gives your team a faster starting point and helps keep structure, metadata and formatting more consistent across campaigns.

When you open an empty content piece, saved templates appear right away so you can jump in with the right setup instead of starting from scratch. You can save templates from existing content and reuse elements like the title structure, body content, custom fields, categories, tags, keywords and featured image.

Create better visuals with the upgraded AI image generator ⚡

The AI image generator now runs on a newer, more capable model, so it's easier to create sharper, more useful visuals right inside StoryChief. Whether you need blog visuals, campaign graphics or social assets, you now get stronger results out of the gate.

You can also upload a reference image to guide the output toward the style or quality you want. That gives your team more control when you want visuals to match a campaign direction, a brand feel or a specific creative benchmark.

Track deleted content with a clearer activity log

StoryChief now records every deleted content item, including who deleted it and when. This gives your team a complete activity history and makes it much easier to track changes and collaborate confidently in shared workspaces.

Go to Dashboard → Activity Feed to see what was deleted, when, and by whom.

Accidentally deleted something 😱? No worries, reach out to us via the in-app chat, and we'll restore it for you.

That's a wrap for June. Go try it out. 👀
