Instead of sending approval requests one by one, you can send them all at once and speed up the review process for multiple pieces of content. Donโ€™t waste time on repetitive clicks. With StoryChief, you can get it all approved in a single step.

You can send and receive batch approval requests for social posts, articles and any other content type (newsletters, webpages, e-books etc)

In this article:

Sending batch approval requests:

Step 1. Navigate to the content overview where you want to send reviews from. This can be Articles, Social Posts or any other content type, such as newsletters, webpages, e-books etc.

Step 2. Select one or multiple pieces of content by clicking on the check box next to them.

๐Ÿ”” Note: If you want to select all the content within your content type, click on the check box at the top of your page (by default the limit is 25 pieces):

Step 3. Select the action Ask for review on the action bar at the bottom:

Step 4. A new window will pop up, where you can:

  1. Choose a user from your workspace
    โ€‹

  2. Add external reviewers by entering the email address(es) of people who donโ€™t have a StoryChief account. They will be able to see and approve/decline your content even without a login user (learn more).
    โ€‹

  3. Enable Also ask for approval so reviewers can approve or decline your content.(This wonโ€™t automatically publish your content or block it from being published.)
    โ€‹

  4. Optionally enable Also add as a collaborator if you want existing users to figure as collaborators of the content

  • The content will appear in their personal dashboard

  • This is especially useful for guest writer and client roles, as it gives them access to make edits while also reviewing the content, as opposed to only having read access.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: If you often send approvals to the same people, pick them directly from the Previously used section to speed things up.

Once you've sent your content to be approved you'll see that the approval status is: Pending.

Step 5. Once your content has been approved, the approval status will turn green inside the content itself, and the label in the overview will update to Approved:

Receiving batch approval requests:

People youโ€™ve sent an approval request to, will receive an email with the links to the different content pieces. Clicking on a link takes them straight to the content, where they can review it and share their feedback.

Some specific examples:

Receiving approval requests for social posts

Clicking on a link takes them straight to the content, where they can review it and share their feedback:

  • At the top they see the number of total postsets

  • On the left, they can select the different postsets

  • Per postset, they can see the tailored post and what channel has been selected

  • On the right, the person can approve or decline the postset that is selected

๐Ÿ”” Note: If you've invited a non-user to review your postsets they first will need to verify their email address.

Receiving approval requests for articles

Clicking on View in StoryChief takes them straight to the list of content, where they can review it and share their feedback. Clicking on each link, takes them to the specific article they have clicked on.

They can go one by one to review each article and approve or decline before going to the next one.
